Melba caprese with mozzarella, basil and tomatoes

This typical Italian dish has been extremely popular as a salad and starter for years, but it tastes extra good on Melba toast. You see, the toast gives the whole thing a little bit of extra bite. This combination is so simple you can hardly call it a recipe, but we explain this classic to you in the video below:

Wash the tomatoes and then slice the tomatoes and mozzarella. First divide the mozzarella between the pieces of toast and lay the tomatoes on top. Dice the basil and divide it between the toast. Top it off by sprinkling some olive oil on the toast.

Tip: Want to spice things up? Add some pesto, pine nuts and/or black olives to the dish.
